- Basterskloof does not accept any responsibility for using the facilities, whether as invitee or otherwise for any injuries, harm, losses of whatsoever nature, or other damages suffered while visiting or occupying the facilities of Basterskloof.
- Occupants and visitors acknowledge that the facilities and the use thereof includes inherent risks, which risks could include injury, disease or death. All facilities will be used at own risk.
- Occupants and visitors agree that Basterskloof, its members and employees shall not be responsible for any injuries, harm, losses of whatsoever nature, or other damages suffered and indemnify Basterskloof, its members and employees against any such responsibility and liability of whatsoever nature.
- Visitors to Basterskloof should please arrive from 14:00 on the arrival date and please departure before 10h00. Alternative times may be arranged
- Under no circumstances will more than 2 adults and or 2 children be allowed per cottage. Please arrange with management regarding extra children or visitors.
- Visitors will be held accountable for any breakage or losses of items or structures.
- Only two of the cottages allow pets. As our farm is an active working farm please pre-arrange this with us to accommodate other animals and guests on the property. Please also note that The Basterkloof Cottages shall not be held responsible for the well being and safety of your pets.
- NO LOUD MUSIC, MOTORBIKES, FIREWORKS, FIREARMS, JET SKI’S OR POWERBOATS ALLOWED.
- Please take your fellow guests into consideration.
- Children must be accompanied by adults to all water facilities.
- The Swimming Pool is fitted with a safety net, please arrange for the net to be removed. Children under the age of 13 MUST AT ALL TIMES BE SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT. NO Running and consumption of alcohol in the pool is allowed.
- Please consider the safety of small children. Parents will be held responsible for the behaviour and safety of their children.
- Please ONLY use the designated braai facilities and never leave fires unattended. The farm has a limited number of chopped bluegum and blackwattle wood for sale, sold per bag.
- Please note only one of the cottages (River Cottage) is equipped with capped Wi-Fi.
- Horse activities are only available upon prior-arrangement. Please see pdf file for different options.
- The Farm shop will only be opened for sales upon prior –arrangement.
- All wild animals are protected and should be considered dangerous. No Feeding of the animals allowed.
- Please respect our environment and take care not to harm any plants or damage any fences.
- Do not waste any water or electricity.
- Keep to the speed limit of 20km/h. Normal traffic rules apply.
- Please ensure that your cottage is kept neat and clean at all times and make use of the rubbish bins.
- 50% deposit will be payable with reservation. Full stay value must be paid before arrival.
- Cancelation Policy:
– 14 or less days before arrival, the full deposit will be forfeited
– 15-30 days before arrival, 50% of the deposit will be forfeited
– An administration fee of R100 will be charged with all refunds.
– Basterskloof may request a certificate to consider a refund in the case of illness and/or death.
- Basic items will be available at the farm shop.
- SMOKING ON THE FARM IS PROHIBITED AND IS LIMITED TO THE PORCH / STOEP OF THE COTTAGE.
